SWEEPR VPN vs Total VPN
A clear, simple breakdown of speed, home Wi-Fi protection, privacy, and renewal prices to help you decide.
The Short Answer
While Total VPN is a well-known name bundled with antivirus software, it comes with heavy background apps, records connection details, and triples its renewal price ($99–$129/yr) after your first year. SWEEPR VPN was built from the ground up as a fast, easy-to-use alternative: it installs in seconds with zero bloatware, never saves logs of what you browse, includes a free 30-second Home Wi-Fi & Speed Scanner, alerts you if a stranger joins your Wi-Fi, stops Smart TVs from secretly taking screenshots of what you watch, and protects up to 10 devices at an honest, transparent price.

1. No Surprise Price Hikes, No Popups, No Tracking
The biggest complaint from users about Total VPN is its steep second-year renewal price hike ($99–$129/year) and constant pop-up ads asking you to buy extra antivirus add-ons.
